Aamir Khan, the Bollywood perfectionist, made a masterstroke by rejecting all the OTT platforms and releasing his recent film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ on YouTube with a pay-per-view model. However, the option faced a glitch, which became a problem for the viewers trying to watch the film.

The platform said that ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ could only be watched by Apple users for Rs. 179, creating an issue for users with other operating systems. However, Aamir Khan Productions clarified that there has been an issue, and they are working on resolving the glitch on an immediate basis. They shared an apology on various social media platforms. “Our sincere apologies 🙏🏽 We just became aware that the cost to rent our film Sitaare Zameen Par is reflecting as ₹179 on Apple devices. We are trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding 🙏🏽,” the apology read on X.

Released on June 20, 2025, the film is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish hit ‘Champions.’ The story follows a basketball coach who is sentenced to community service for punching the head coach and drunk driving. He firmly claimed in a recent press conference that he doesn’t need crores of rupees from the OTT platforms; instead, he would be happy to receive Rs. 100 from his audience.
