The film, which marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has surprised trade pundits and audiences alike with its phenomenal box office performance, beating out big-ticket films like Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 and Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Just two days ago, Saiyaara was sitting at the 84th position on the all-time highest-grossing Hindi films list. Now, it has soared to the 46th spot, edging past Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi , Rajinikanth’s 2.0 (Hindi) and Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which had netted Rs 195.55 crore Rs 190.48 crore and with Rs 188.57 crore respectively. The film’s first week haul stood at an impressive Rs 172.75 crore, and thanks to strong word of mouth and repeat viewings, Saiyaara continued to dominate screens even in its second weekend. On it’s second Friday the film earned Rs 18 crore and till 2 PM on Saturday it added another Rs 6.56 crore, thus taking the total to Rs 197.31 crore and counting. Saiyaara is being hailed as the kind of old-school emotional love story that Bollywood hasn’t seen in years. The chemistry between Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has struck a chord with audiences, while the haunting title track has gone viral across platforms.Interestingly, this is not just a win for Mohit Suri or the debutants—Saiyaara also marks the rare case of a non-franchise film, devoid of superstar names or IP, to break into the coveted Top 50 list. It now sits above several major films in terms of net collections and footfalls. Saiyaara is expected to climb even higher on the all-time charts. Industry insiders are already calling it the “dark horse of 2025” and possibly the year’s biggest surprise success.
