Varun Dhawan is embarking on a new chapter with his upcoming film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,’ set to clash with ‘Kantara: Chapter 1.’ He’s also embracing fatherhood after welcoming his daughter, Lara, with wife Natasha Dalal. Dhawan admits he’s still learning the ropes of being a dad, enjoying the experience while balancing responsibilities.

Varun Dhawan is stepping into an exciting new phase as he gears up for his new film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari where he teams up with Shashank Khaitan once again after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film is releasing on 2nd October where it is clashing with Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1. The year 2024 was also an exciting phase for the actor as he not only made his OTT debut with Citadel: Honey Bunny but also became a father. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Varun opened up about embracing fatherhood. The actor and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed their first child, a baby girl Lara. Talking about the initial days of bringing Lara home Varun said “I’m still figuring it out,” Varun admitted candidly. “Like how responsible I have to be, or how much of a kid I can still be or can be… I think men tend to go through this. Right now Natasha is doing everything, I have to give her credit. The woman does practically everything initially, the man then comes in and becomes useful.While he says he’s still learning the ropes, Varun seems to be enjoying every bit of this new role. “I’m just enjoying playing with her. Being a dad is a lot of fun right now, and every day I’m trying to be a better dad… I don’t think I’m there yet,” he shared.The actor also gave fans a glimpse into how parenthood has changed his day-to-day life, in the most relatable way possible. “I do watch TV at a really low volume now, else my wife will throw me out of the house,” he said with a laugh.Varun also has patriotic action drama Border 2, alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahaan Shetty lined up. Directed by Kesari and Punjab 1984 filmmaker Anurag Singh, the film is being touted as a grand tribute to India’s armed forces. He is also primed to be working with Anees Bazmee on No Entry 2 with his old Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh once again.
