The producer of the Hindi crime thriller film ‘So Long Valley’ has been booked by Mumbai Police after model Ruchi Gujjar accused him of cheating her out of Rs 23 lakh. The case has been registered at the Oshiwara police station, an official confirmed on Saturday.According to a PTI report, the model filed a complaint on Thursday, stating that Karan Singh, the producer of the film, took money from her under the promise of starting a television project. She was allegedly promised on-screen credit and a share in the profits, but according to the complaint, none of those promises were kept.Reportedly, the drama took a shocking turn at the premiere of ‘So Long Valley’, held on Friday night. A video that went viral on social media showed Ruchi Gujjar slapping Karan Singh during the event.

Model claims promises were broken

According to the police official, Ruchi Gujjar said Singh had approached her with a television project for a channel. She was told she would be part of the production and would receive a share of the profit and her name in the credits. However, Gujjar later discovered that the promised project was never made, and the money she had given to Singh was not returned.“The complainant stated that the project never materialised and Singh didn’t return her money,” the official said.As reported by India Today, Mumbai Police have registered a case against the producer under sections 318(4), 352, and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Actress Ruchi Gujjar has shared detailed records in her FIR, including account numbers and related documents. Police have now started investigating the matter by checking her banking transactions, call logs, and other proof. The case is being taken seriously as new evidence comes to light. Earlier, Ruchi made headlines at the Cannes Film Festival when she wore a necklace with a photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which had gone viral on social media at the time.
