Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu is showing promising early signs at the USA box office, with advance bookings for its premiere crossing the $100,000 mark. According to trade reports as of now, Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM) has grossed $105,000 ( Rs 90 lakhs) from advance sales across 285 locations, having sold nearly 3800 tickets. The film is scheduled for its USA premiere in 12 days, giving exhibitors and fans ample time for momentum to build.
The numbers indicate a steady start, considering that few locations are yet to open bookings in full force. Featuring Pawan Kalyan in a powerful warrior avatar and Bobby Deol as the antagonist, Hari Hara Veera Mallu tries to bring back the stories from the time when Mughals used to rule the country. Bobby Deol plays Aurangzeb in the film, the film also features names like Nidhhi Agerwal, Nora Fatehi, Nargis Fakhri and Sathyaraj. Over the past few years Telugu Cinema has exploded in a big way in the USA circuits thanks to films like Baahubali series, Kalki 2898 AD, Pushpa franchise , Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire and RRR. Given the past records of these films Hari Hara Veera Mallu still lags behind but one can expect a huge opening as the release date comes closer. With 12 days left until the premiere, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is shaping up for a solid overseas opening. The early figures—$105,329 gross from 285 locations—signal a healthy start, especially considering that the advance sales window has just opened. The next few days will be key in determining whether the film can hit the benchmark set by previous Pawan Kalyan. Pawan Kalyan also has another film titled OG lined up for release which will be hitting the theaters on 25th September. The film also stars Bollywood’s Emraan Hashmi in a pivotal role.
