NEW DELHI: The BCCI On Sunday released the complete schedule for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 which will have Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru as its season opener on March 22.
Lucknow Super Giants, under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, will begin their campaign against Delhi Capitals in Vishakapatnam on March 24.
LSG’s performance in their initial two IPL seasons saw them finish third in the league stage, with both runs ending in Eliminator losses. But they slipped to seventh position in the points table last season.
The league phase will consist of 70 matches, with each team playing 14 games.
The playoff stage is scheduled from May 20 to May 25. The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad will host Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator on May 20 and 21 respectively.
The tournament’s final matches will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which will host both Qualifier 2 and the championship final.
