Former CEO of WWE, Linda McMahon is Looking Forward to Serving in President Trump’s Administration After Senate Hearing

Linda McMahon has been chosen by the Trump administration to lead the Department of Education. Her hearing before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) took place recently, and she was present to come out of it unscathed under the guidance of the 47th President’s administration. Once a renowned wrestler and then leading the WWE as its CEO, Linda McMahon is a powerhouse, and now she is bringing her charisma to the political arena as the newest nominee for the Secretary of Education.

Linda McMahon’s political aspirations under the Trump administration

Linda McMahon‘s political journey started in 2009 when she was appointed to the Connecticut State Board of Education. It was quite a bold step to go from CEO of WWE to a Board member in the Department of Education of the state of Connecticut. But she left that role soon enough to run as the US Senator from the state in 2010 as a member of the Republican Party.
Under Donald Trump‘s first presidency, she was nominated as the administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), and her nomination was approved by the SBA Senate with an 18–1 vote. She served for two years before resigning from her post in 2019 to chair the America First Action PAC.
Now, under Trump’s second presidency, she has been nominated as the Secretary of the Education Department, and her senate hearing took place quite recently. She posted a series of pictures from the day alongside her family and friends who were present to support her political aspirations, including daughter Stephanie McMahon and son-in-law Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Linda McMahon’s views on Donald Trump wanting to dismantle the Department of Education

The nominee for Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education under Donald Trump’s second presidential administration, Linda McMahon, recently sat before the HELP Senate for her hearing so that her nomination can be approved or rejected. With Trump having previously made comments about wanting to dismantle the Department of Education, it was one of the biggest questions she faced during the hearing, given she was his pick for the role.
During the hearing, McMahon reiterated that sh3 will work alongside Congress “to reorient the department,” not dismantle or defund programs. She stated before HELP:
“In many cases, our wounds are caused by the excessive consolidation of power in our federal education establishment. So what’s the remedy? Fund education freedom, not a government-run system. Listen to parents, not politicians. Empower states, not special interests… If confirmed as secretary, I will work with Congress to reorient the department to helping educators, not controlling them.”
Her nomination for the post is still being deliberated on by the Senate. Whether her nomination is approved or rejected, will be announced shortly, once the hearing process is concluded.
