Priyanka Chopra shuts down fake quote on ‘virgin wife’ remark: ‘Just because it’s online doesn’t make it true’ | Hindi Movie News

It is a rather frequent occurrence that public figures are misquoted or have statements taken out of context, and in most cases, these quotations turn out to be false or are denied by the celebrities themselves. Recently, Priyanka Chopra has been rumored to misquote, advising men not to look for virgins as prospective wives, which then went viral on social media platforms. Denying the allegations as fictitious, Priyanka explained how not everything should be taken at face value, especially when it comes from the internet.Taking to her Instagram account, PeeCee reposted the link where she was falsely accused of the quote and cleared the air, stating that it was fake. The post attributed Priyanka as saying, “Don’t look for a virgin as wife. Get a woman with good manners. Virginity ends in one night, but manners last forever.” Giving a befitting reply to the trolls, she wrote, “This is not me, my quote or my voice. Just because it’s online doesn’t make it true. Creating fake content is now an easy way to achieve virality.”The actress also advised everyone not to believe everything they come across online. Encouraging people to be more mindful and discerning, she wrote, “None of the links or ‘sources’ attached to this claim, or many others online, are real or credible. Take a minute to cross. Check such content and don’t believe everything you scroll past. Stay safe online”.
