‘Don’t ignore technology’: TGCHE chief Balakista Reddy urges youth; stresses AI’s role in career growth | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: V Balakista Reddy, chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, on Saturday, said that students must equip themselves with the latest technology to have a successful career.Speaking at an awareness programme about admission to engineering colleges for TG EAPCET students at JNTU-Hyderabad, he said: “Whatever course you take, make sure you don’t ignore technology.” According to Reddy, technological change in the 21st century has been dynamic, especially since the advent of artificial intelligence. “I use two buzzwords to describe the digital age we are currently living in: NET and A-Z technology. The first stands for new and emerging technology, while the second means that there is a new technological innovation for every letter of the alphabet: A for artificial intelligence, B for bitcoin, C for cryptocurrency, and so on,” Balakista Reddy said. Out of all the technologies, he said that AI was going to have the greatest impact. “Artificial intelligence is everywhere, and as a country with the largest youth population in the world, we have a chance to make a difference if we keep up with the latest technology,” he said. As well as talking about the importance of AI, the chairman encouraged students to consider engineering courses other than computer science.
