In one of his heartfelt interviews with Taran Adarsh, Shah Rukh once shared a piece of wisdom passed down by his mother that stayed with him forever: “ Stretch yourself beyond what you have today, and grow enough to cover that stretch tomorrow. And never ask anyone for anything. Teach this to your children as well.” It wasn’t just advice — it was a way of living.Born in a modest household in Delhi, Shah Rukh lost both his parents at a young age. He also added, “ I have been given so much that I can’t ask for more. I think if I ask, God will feel bad.”And it’s not as if the offers weren’t there.
