Telangana power department engineer held for demanding Rs 1L bribe, caught red-handed accepting Rs 80,000 | Hyderabad News
HANUMAKONDA: The officials of the Warangal Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday caught a power department official red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000. The arrested was identified as Janagam Naresh, superintending engineer of operation circle, TGNPDCL, Mahabubabad. According to officials, Naresh had demanded Rs 1 lakh from a complainant to approve the continuation of the agreement related to existing letters of acceptance pertaining to Kuravi and Maripeda Subdivisions. He had earlier accepted Rs 20,000, and on Wednesday, he was caught while accepting the remaining Rs 80,000.
