Nara Lokesh moves 6-point formula at Mahanadu to take the party into next generation

VIJAYAWADA: Asserting that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has been in the forefront to respond to the grievances of Telugu people, TDP national general secretary, HRD and IT minister Nara Lokesh has said it is high time to move the party according to the needs of the people and changing times. Addressing the party delegates on the first-day of the three-day annual conclave Mahanadu, Lokesh said that key policy changes must be introduced in line with the party’s core principles to meet the current needs of the people. He presented a six-point six resolution to further strengthen the party. He said that the auspicious moment chosen by the legendary actor and leader, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, to establish the party holds great significance. The Telugu Desam Party represents the pride and self-respect of the Telugu nation. “Our party was founded to stand by farmers, to address the struggles of workers, and with the goal of providing the poor with basic necessities like a hearty meal, clothes to wear, and a solid house to live in. While many parties have emerged with caste, religious, or regional agendas, the Telugu Desam Party is the only one established for the sake of the Telugu nation,” said Lokesh. He said that TDP has seen many hardships and up and owns in its 43-year-long journey. He said that neither power nor to be in opposition is not new to TDP. He, however, said that TDP is the first to respond when the Telugu people face difficulties. He said that party founder, Annagaru, (NTR) said that society itself is a temple, and the people are its gods. He said that from the party supremo Chandrababu Naidu to every party worker, entire party is engaged in serving the people in one way or another. He strongly advocated to bring changes in the party principles in line with the changing times, and there should be discussions about the transformations occurring in contemporary society. He wanted that plans must be prepared to go closer to the people. He appealed the party leaders and delegates to discuss the key decisions needed to lead the party for another 40 years. The Telugu Desam Party believes that change is constant and enduring. He said that the party would support the breadwinners and ensures full stomach for the poor. “We should also evolve and take steps in tune with changing times,” said Lokesh.
