Deepak Paramesh: I hope to go back to Kashmir not just for work, but to travel and explore | Hindi Movie News

Actor Deepak Paramesh, who has been working in Tamil films, made his Hindi film debut with the film Ground Zero, but what left a lasting impression on him was his time in Kashmir.
Talking about it, he says, “We have shot the film in Kashmir and it was an unforgettable experience. The landscape is stunning — no photograph can ever do justice to how majestic it feels in person. But what truly moved me was the warmth of the people.”
The South actor, who’s primarily known for his work in Tamil cinema, spent weeks in and around Srinagar and Pahalgam for the shoot. In between high-octane scenes and intense training sessions at a BSF base, Deepak found moments of rare serenity in the valley. “We got a break during the schedule and trekked up to Tulian Lake in Pahalgam. It was beautiful and peaceful — an experience I’ll always carry with me. Everyone deserves to feel that kind of peace,” he says.

It wasn’t just nature that captivated him. “The Kahwa, the food, the hospitality — there’s a rhythm to life there that slows you down in the best way possible. Being there, seeing the terrain our armed forces navigate every day, it grounded me. It helped my performance to look real.Kashmir changed something in me. I hope to go back — not just for work, but to travel and explore.” says Deepak.
