Lyricist and writer Manoj Muntashir has now joined the conversation regarding YouTuber and social media personality Ranveer Allahbadia’s recent controversial remark on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. The writer called for strict action against him through a social media post.

On February 10, Manoj Muntashir took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his concerns. He shared a clip from the show featuring Ranveer and Samay, condemning the nature of their conversation. Expressing his disappointment, he wrote, “This is the level of comedy that has degraded humanity. Viruses more dangerous than COVID have entered our mobile phones. These vampires, these perverts, have taken a pledge to strip our future generations of values.”
Manoj further issued a warning to parents, urging them to be cautious about such content and calling on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to take immediate action against the panel members. “This is an alarm for parents—wake up, or you will witness the downfall of your children and this great nation with your own eyes. @MIB_India, immediate action should be taken against everyone on this panel. If you stop at just reading this post and do not raise your voice, then you, too, will be responsible for your own downfall.”
Manoj’s strong stance triggered a range of reactions from users on X. One user commented, “Even I was shocked to see this! The lady is shameless.” Another added, “This needs to stop immediately.” Many users widely tagged MIB’s social media handles, urging action against the content creators featured in the video.
However, several users were quick to bring up Manoj’s controversial dialogues in Adipurush. One user reminded him, “I agree with what you’ve written, but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten what you did with Adipurush. The dialogues you wrote were equally derogatory and affected far more people.” Another commented, “After the debacle you caused with Adipurush, you’ve lost the right to criticise others. Respectfully.”
Following the backlash over his controversial remark on India’s Got Latent, Ranveer issued a public apology via a video on social media. Acknowledging his mistake, he admitted that his comment was inappropriate and unfunny, emphasising that comedy is not his strength. He took full responsibility, stating that he had a lapse in judgement and that this was not how he wanted to use his platform. Without offering any justification, he sincerely apologised for his actions.
