When Kareena Kapoor Khan met Saif Ali Khan on the sets of Tashan, she never imagined their love story would turn into a lifelong commitment. After five years of dating, the couple tied the knot on October 16, 2012, but their journey began with a spontaneous and heartfelt proposal in Greece.
Recalling the special moment on Koffee With Karan, Kareena revealed that Saif proposed to her while they were shooting Chhaliya Chhaliya. “He stayed back for the shoot because it was my song. One morning, he just woke up and said, ‘Listen, let’s get married. I want to marry you right here, in a church.’ I thought he was mad, but he said, ‘I can’t see it any other way,’ and I just knew this was it,” she shared.
When Karan Johar asked if she ever hesitated due to Saif’s past marriage and his children, Kareena was quick to dismiss any doubts. “He told me, ‘My two children are my family, and they will always be my priority.’ And I embraced everything about him because I was madly in love. I still am, and I think I always will be. I’m head over heels in love with him even today,” she said.
