Well, this doesn’t serve as the ultimate shocker of the ‘Taylor Effect’, the real one is that the luxurious suites near the arena are reportedly selling at a whopping $3 million. While the Super Bowl has seen a significant increase in demand every year, this time it’s not even close, and the reason is – the ‘Taylor Swift Effect’.
According to the LendingTree Survey, any average American household, who’s willing to spend their money on the game, has to spend $142 — an increase from $116 last year. The study also revealed that many Americans have started engaging with the game a lot more than the previous years, with Gen Z (39%) and Millennials (21%) leading a sharp increase in spending, all thanks to the billionaire singer and her boyfriend.
The ‘Taylor Swift Effect’ isn’t restricted to the actual game, according to the media reports, Fox Corporation has secured $8 million for each of 10 commercial sets which would air during the game between Kansas Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles on February 9, 2025 – the ultimate championship showdown, marking the increase from $7 million in 2023, and $6.5 million in 2022.
Additionally, women are getting even more involved in the game. According to USA Today, the vice president, Marrisa Solis of the NFL mentioned, “Football is the No. 1 sport among women in the U.S., and we keep growing. I mean 68% of all women and girls in the U.S. are fans of the league.”
