Grew Energy rides strong growth momentum as part of Chiripal Group
As India accelerates its transition to clean energy, the solar power sector is witnessing unprecedented growth. With a national vision to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070, the focus has shifted to building robust infrastructure, advancing research capabilities, and driving technological innovation in renewable energy. Among the states leading this transformation, Rajasthan has emerged as a strategic hub—home to some of the country’s largest photovoltaic manufacturing facilities.
Recent developments in solar panel technology, including the adoption of advanced testing standards and sustainable manufacturing practices, are playing a critical role in aligning industrial growth with environmental responsibility. These trends reflect a larger national movement where clean energy ambitions are supported not just by policy, but by concrete action on the ground—through enhanced manufacturing capabilities, local R&D, and backward integration across the solar value chain.
This broader momentum has led to the creation of high-efficiency solar modules that are increasingly being adopted in commercial projects. Enhanced by localised production and lower carbon footprints, these solar solutions are catering to rising demand across diverse geographies in India. Additionally, several new players are contributing to this ecosystem by establishing vertically integrated facilities that go beyond module assembly to include ingot, wafer, and cell production—thus helping reduce dependency on imports.
Among these contributors is Grew Energy, a young solar enterprise established in 2022 and backed by the Chiripal Group, a conglomerate with decades of expertise in manufacturing and infrastructure.
With a current capacity of 3 GW in Jaipur and expansion plans underway to scale up to 8 GW by Q1 of 2026, the company is helping fortify India’s solar capabilities. Grew Energy is also setting up a 3 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh.
It has established an in-house research and development center equipped with international-standard testing tools such as PASAN sun simulators and IEC-compliant durability testers.
In addition to manufacturing, the company has been participating in large-scale solar power projects and introducing premium module technologies like TOPCon, known for their efficiency and reliability. Its long-term vision includes a three-stage backward integration strategy, with planned facilities for solar ingot, wafer, and PV cell production totaling 2.8 GW—further contributing to the self-reliance goals of the Indian solar sector.
Such integrated, future-forward efforts reflect the kind of innovation and scale required to meet the country’s renewable energy goals. As India charts its course toward becoming a renewable energy powerhouse, developments in this space signal not just industrial growth, but a collective movement toward a more sustainable future.
