Kerala biz grad arrested with LSD worth 11cr

Panaji: Goa police on Tuesday arrested a 29-year-old resident of Palakkad, Kerala, Mohammad Sameer, for being in alleged possession of over 110g of high micro-LSD liquid worth Rs 11 crore.
Sameer, a BBA graduate who has been living in Goa for the past five years, was running a three-room guesthouse at Baga, and arranged for taxis for his guests.
Goa police’s anti-narcotics cell (ANC) contacted him through a decoy customer and asked to purchase 10 drops of LSD liquid, for which Sameer quoted Rs 13,000. When he came to deliver the substance, ANC personnel arrested him.
The cell then took him to the flat of a ‘main accused’ from whom he brought the liquid, and confiscated the remaining substance. Police said that Sameer came with 2.7g of the liquid, while the rest was seized from a Siolim residence.
Police said that during the search of the flat, the main accused was not present, and had travelled outside the state.
Police stated that the main accused used to sell one drop of LSD liquid to Sameer at the rate of Rs 700 per drop, and subsequently, he sold it to customers at the rate of Rs 1,300 per drop. Police added that whenever Sameer received an order, he went to the Siolim flat, collected the consignment, and delivered it to his prospective customer. Police confirmed that Sameer did not keep any narcotics at his guest house.
Police also reported that 12 lakh LSD papers could be made from the quantity seized by the ANC. They stated that the price of one LSD paper ranges between Rs 3,000 and Rs 5,000.
“The raid took a massive turn when the ANC officials conducted a house search of the accused, where the ANC recovered a massive 106g of more high micron LSD liquid along with 101g of ganja,” said DySP Nerlon Albuquerque. “The accused used to sell the drugs in drops and laced blotting papers with the liquid, further supplying them to his customers as per requirement. LSD liquid, a psychedelic drug, is widely used in the psy trance party circle and is considered one of the most potent narcotic drugs in the world,” he said.
