NBA Forward Kevin Durant Unhappy About Being Dragged Into Trading Deals – A Breakup in the Horizon With the Phoenix Suns? | NBA News

Until last Thursday, which is when the NBA trade deadline came to a close, Kevin Durant was a name that was being linked to quite a few teams. From Oklahoma to the Golden State, the Suns tried to hand him off, much to the disappointment of the 36-year-old. But all things came to a stop with the closing of the deadline, as Durant felt it was best to stay put in Phoenix. But the discontent is apparent, and chances are he could be leaving Phoenix this summer.
Kevin Durant could be leaving the Phoenix Suns this summer
After being dragged into trading deals without any prior notice from his team, sure to say, it all came as a surprise to NBA veteran Kevin Durant. According to sources, he was not at all happy about all the chatter surrounding his name during the trade talks, as his thoughts were pretty clear – he was satisfied with staying with the Phoenix Suns. But after the last week, discontent has taken place, and Durant might be looking to move in the summer.
As per ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst, Kevin Durant was not happy being involved in the trading deals this summer.
“He was not happy he was put into trade talks. I think it’s unpredictable what will happen for the next few months because it’s the nature of the sport, but I think right now it is reasonable to forecast that Durant will be breaking up with the Suns in the summer.”
For now, though, he is staying with the Suns. But the end of the season will be a different story, and Durant might be looking to move after being treated so callously by the Suns, or so say some people.
Kevin Durant was not interested in returning to the Golden State Warriors
The loudest name linked to Kevin Durant during the trade talks was that of the Golden State. But allegedly, Durant was not interested in returning to San Francisco, and he made his intentions pretty clear – both to the Suns and the Warriors. This is mainly why the Warriors decided to shift their focus towards Jimmy Butler and welcome him to their ranks, who was all too happy to leave Miami behind.
As for Durant, it wasn’t just the Warriors who wanted him back. According to sources, the Phoenix Suns received calls from 6 different teams for a Durant trade in the last 48 hours of the deadline. Unfortunately for all parties involved, things did not work out the way they wanted, and Durant decided to stay put. But then again, the situation might not stay the same for too long.
