Sunayana Fozdar: I urge people to not throw colours on stray animals on Holi
Actress Sunayana Fozdar will celebrate Holi with her family, focusing on the festival’s deeper meaning, conserving water, and being kind to animals. As an actor, she rarely gets time to celebrate with family.

Holi is a festival of colours and along with fun, it also brings everyone together. Actress Sunayana Fozdar plans to celebrate Holi with her family.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress says, “Holi is more than just throwing colors—it’s about letting go. It’s the day we drop our grudges, forget the past, and come together, no matter what. It reminds us that good always wins over bad, and happiness is meant to be shared. We should be conscious about saving water on holi.”
She adds, “Earlier as a kid we used to run to each others houses to play and throw colours and water. As I grew up, learnt that Holi has a deeper meaning. Spending time and happiness with family has become more important over the years. Specially as an actor I rarely get time to celebrate festivals with family.”
Sunayana also urges people to not harass stray animals during Holi. “I have a pet at home I’m conscious about how we shouldn’t trouble them. I urge people to not put colour on stray animals. We should also be mindful of saving water while enjoying the festival. Today I will spend time with family and go for dinner.”
The actress currently plays the role of Anjali Mehta in the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, and she has also appeared in shows like Laal Ishq, Piya Basanti Re, and others.
