First Solar Eclipse 2025: Date, Time and Will it be Visible from India?

This March, sky watchers will be treated to a celestial feast as the interesting celestial events are happening back to back. As we all know that Lunar Eclipse is going to occur on March 14 then right after that Solar Eclipse will also occur on March 29, 2025. This is the first solar eclipse of the year 2025. Solar Eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, creating a shadow and partially obstructing sunlight.

According to the Panchang, this Solar Eclipse will not be visible in Indian but people from other countries like Asia, Africa, Europe and Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean and America would be able to witness this celestial event. They can have a glimpse of the Solar Eclipse which is going to occur on March 29, 2025.
Solar Eclipse will not be harmful for Indians as this won’t have any impact in India. But those who are excited to watch this, they should keep this in mind that Solar Eclipse can be harmful for them to witness this from naked eyes. People should not directly look at the Sun and if you really want to look at the Sun then use glasses, telescope, and binoculars for that as directly looking at the Sun might have a bad impact on your eyes.
Solar Eclipse in the year 2025:
According to Panchang, two solar eclipses are expected in 2025 but they both will not be visible in India. On September 22, the second one is expected. This year, there will also be two lunar eclipses. The first Lunar Eclipse which is happening on March 14 that is coinciding with the festival of colors, Holi but again it will not be visible from India so skywatchers from India will not be able to watch this celestial event.
Lunar Eclipse 14, 2025: Timings
Lunar Eclipse will last for one hour and four minutes, starting at 9:29 AM and ending at 3:39 PM. The eclipse will reach its zenith at 12:29 PM. However, India won’t be able to see this event.
This eclipse will be known as a “Blood Moon,” in which the Moon appears red due to the Earth’s shadow.
Second Lunar Eclipse 2025: Date
On September 7, there will be the year’s second lunar eclipse. This Lunar Eclipse will be visible from India and Indians would be able to witness this.
