Ekadashi in February 2026: Significance
Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious days in Hindu religion. This day holds an immense religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. Ekadashi is considered the most sacred one and devotees observe rigorous fast starting from Ekadashi tithi and break it on Dwadashi Tithi during parana time. For breaking Ekadashi fast, parana time is most important time, when people should break their fast. It is believed that the one who observe Ekadashi fast with immense devotion and dedication, Lord Vishnu bless the devotees with great happiness, wealth, health and all the worldly pleasure.This fast is so pure that one can become pious by observing it with pure devotion and it is must for the Lord Vishnu devotees to follow sattvik lifestyle especially if they are observing Ekadashi fast. This fast is so powerful that it can encourage you towards spirituality and they can even get salvation after their death. This fast can liberate people from the cycle of birth and death. It is believed that the fast observers can even get the place in the abode of Lord Vishnu, which is Vaikuntha dham.
Ekadashi in February 2026: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.2. Clean the house and especially puja room.3. Give bath to the idol of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Laddoo Gopal Ji if you have them at home.4. Adorn them with beautiful clothes. Apply tilak and adorn them with garlands.5. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Laddoo Gopal Ji along with Shree Yantra (symbol of Goddess Lakshmi).6. Light a diya with desi ghee in front of the idols and take a sankalp of observing Ekadashi fast with full devotion.7. Chant “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaye” mantra and shree Krishna maha mantra also 108 times.8. Offer panchamrit and tuls dal to the Lord and seek blessings.9. In the evening also, one must offer prayers to Lord Vishnu and perform aarti.10. Those who can not bear the hunger can eat fruits and consume milk products in the evening and they can break their fast next day on dwadashi tithi during parana time, which is again very important. Note: Ekadashi fast observer should not miss the parana time for breaking the fast but in case if you skip parana time then you are advised to break your fast after madhyahna period.
