Shah Rukh Khan sends his love and blessings to Rani Mukerji on the launch of her film ‘Mardaani 3,’ commended for her strong female protagonist who inspires with her strength, determination, and compassion. Sharing a warm message on X, Khan wrote, “Just from the heart…. to my Rani ‘Mardaani’ all my best wishes. I am sure you will be feisty, strong & compassionate in ‘Mardaani 3’ like u are in the real world too,” expressing admiration for her journey and persona.The action thriller marks the third instalment of the popular ‘Mardaani’ franchise, with Mukerji reprising her role as the fearless cop ACP Shivani Shivaji Roy. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the film released in theatres on Friday and follows Roy as she investigates the disappearance of dozens of young girls across multiple locations. As the case deepens, she uncovers a powerful human trafficking racket and comes face-to-face with a formidable antagonist known as “Amma.” The film also features Janki Bodiwala, Mallika Prasad and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles.The ‘Mardaani’ franchise released in 2014 and its sequel ‘Mardaani 2’ was released in 2019, is the number one female franchise of Bollywood. In the past, Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukerji have shared screen space in several films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Chalte Chalte, etc. In 2025, they made history again when they both scored their maiden National Film Awards – Shahrukhi Khan for ‘Jawan’, and Ranil Mukerja for ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’.
