Streaming giant Netflix officially confirmed via a “First Look” announcement in late 2025 that the series would return on May 15th, 2026. On January 28th, 2026, the OTT platform released the first teaser trailer of ‘Berlin Season 2.’ The trailer was shared with the caption, “The gang is ready for the most artistic heist in history. Teaser trailer of ‘Berlin and The Lady With An Ermine’. Available on May 15 #BerlinNetflix.”The season will consist of eight episodes, with filming on the new season having kicked off in January 2026.
‘Berlin Season 2’ plot details
While Season 1 was a jewel heist in Paris, Season 2 shifts the location to Seville, Spain, and comes with a unique subtitle: “Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine.”According to the official synopsis given by the streamer, the gang is reuniting to pull off a “master heist” involving the famous painting The Lady with an Ermine. However, in true Berlin fashion, things are not quite what they seem.The plot summary reads:“Berlin and Damián bring the gang together, this time in Seville, to pull off a master heist: pretending to steal the Lady with an Ermine. Pretending? Why? Because their real target is the Duke of Málaga and his wife, a couple who think they can blackmail Berlin. What they don’t expect is that their challenge will awaken Berlin’s darkest side- and his thirst for revenge.”

The core cast from Season 1 is there, but some new high-profile names join the show. Pedro Alonso will return as Berlin, with Michelle Jenner as Keila, Tristán Ulloa as Damián, Begoña Vargas as Cameron, Julio Peña Fernández as Roi, and Joel Sánchez as Bruce.Meanwhile, the new cast members include Inma Cuesta as Candela, a new addition to the gang who is set to steal Berlin’s heart.
