Daily video conferences will track progress, emphasizing citizen compliance and participation in sanitation drives.

Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) organised a workshop at its headquarters on Sunday to review preparations for the upcoming Swachh Survekshan.Municipal commissioner Yashpal Meena chaired the session with executive officers and senior staff to align preparations with national urban sanitation standards.Solid waste management, public space sanitation, grievance redressal, and citizens’ participations were reviewed at the workshop. Discussions were also held on field-level monitoring through technology and execution of gap analysis to identify infrastructure shortfalls.The commissioner directed implementation of corrective measures and intensified information, education, and communication (IEC) campaigns to ensure readiness before the formal survey begins.Meena said video conferences should be held twice daily at 7am and 10pm to review the preparations and monitor the developments. The monitoring framework aims to improve the city’s previous three-star rating by securing maximum points across all survey categories.Stress was also laid on citizens’ compliance with waste management protocols and participation in local sanitation initiatives.
