Gumla District Conducts Mock Board Exams for JAC Class X & XII Aspirants

Gumla: A three-day special mock test, equivalent to pre-boards for Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Class X and XII board aspirants, began across all govt schools in Gumla district.DC Prerna Dixit said, “Our focus is to get students fully prepared, as we initiated a wide range of interventions in schooling and teaching.”The education department here commenced the exercise under its ‘Board Exam-Vijay Abhiyan’ initiative. “The mock test is being conducted from Jan 8 to Jan 10 in two shifts across the district,” said Dildar Singh, an education department official. “The initiative aims to strengthen preparations for the JAC board examinations, scheduled to begin on Feb 3. The mock test is being conducted strictly on the pattern of the actual board examination in all categories of secondary and higher secondary schools and inter colleges of the district, using question papers prepared by the district core team,” he added.“All students who registered for the board examinations are mandatorily appearing in this special test. Additionally, 100% attendance of students identified as weak in the first mock test conducted in Nov 2025 is compulsory, with special focus on improving their academic performance,” said Gumla district education officer (DEO) Kavita Khalkho.The evaluation process will be completed by Jan 15.“Remedial classes will begin from Jan 15 to 30,” said district superintendent of education (DSE) Noor Alam Khan.
