BHOPAL: Two youths were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Chhatarpur district on Monday night, with both bodies bearing skull injuries, police said.The bodies were spotted around 9 pm on the roadside between Panautha and Janakpur villages in the Ishanagar area. Police said the two bodies were lying about 20 paces apart. The deceased were identified as Surendra Yadav (19) and Santosh Kori (18), both residents of Gaharwar village.A country-made pistol and a mobile phone were found at the spot, along with a motorcycle lying nearby. Based on the condition of the bodies, police suspect that one of the youths may have been shot, while the other appeared to have suffered a fatal head injury caused by a heavy object.A forensic team examined the crime scene, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.Superintendent of Police Agam Jain said forensic investigations are underway to ascertain the actual cause behind the deaths. “All angles are being probed, and further action will be taken based on the post-mortem and forensic reports,” he said.
