Motorcyclist charred to death after head on collision with bus at Verna | Goa News

Vasco: 32-year-old motorcycle rider was charred to death after his two-wheeler burst into flames, following a head-on collision with a bus on Sunday.Verna police identified the deceased as Kevin Ishanti Pereira, a resident of Majorda and native of Sangargali, Belagavi, Karnataka. He was working in a company at IDC, Verna and he was on the way to his residence when he met with the accident at around 6.45pm on Sunday.

Verna police said when the motorcyclist reached opposite to Santa Marble and Granite shop near Fr Agnel Ashram, Verna, a speeding bus in a rash and negligent manner collided head on with the motorcycle while it was heading towards Vasco from Margao.The motorcycle burst into flames due to the impact and the rider was charred to death.Verna police have registered an offence against the bus driver Jakir Hussain Shaikh, a resident of Sancoale. PSI Mahesh Bhomkar conducted the investigations under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar.
