Sania, who reached the World No. 1 ranking in doubles during her playing days, won three women’s doubles and three mixed doubles Grand Slam titles before announcing her retirement.
Izhaan was born in October 2018 during Sania’s marriage to former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik. The couple parted ways in 2023.In a recent YouTube conversation, Sania reflected candidly on motherhood and the early challenges she faced.“It is never 50-50 between both parents. I breastfed for two-and-a-half to three months. For me, that was the hardest part of pregnancy. I am like, I will get pregnant three more times, but this feeding business, I don’t know if I can do. For me, it was not the physical aspect of it, but the emotional and mental aspects that were draining,” she said.Watch the video hereShe added, “As working women, it ties you down. They are so dependent on it, time commitment, not enough sleep, and you are centering all activities around the feeding schedule. I did what was needful.”While Sania played right-handed throughout her career, Izhaan appears to be developing a left-handed playing style — a detail many fans noticed in the viral video.
