House burgled near Namakkal | Coimbatore News
NAMAKKAL: Burglars broke into a locked house at Valayapatti in Namakkal district and escaped with 18 sovereigns of gold jewellery and Rs 7 lakh in cash.The burglary happened in the house of M Krishna Kumar, 65, a grocery and tea shop owner in Mohanur. He went to Tiruchendur with his family on Wednesday and returned home in the early hours of Thursday. Kumar found the main door open and valuables missing from a bureau in the house.He alerted the Mohanur police, who reached the sport and began investigations. A case was registered.
