The film has already crossed USD 600,000 in its first week and is projected to hit USD 1 million. The breakeven point for the film was pegged at USD 400,000 and the film crossed that mark on the 4th day itself and now on the sixth day the film has crossed USD 600,000K and going by the trends the film is expected to reach USD 1 million mark before the end of its theatrical window. On Monday the film was able to earn Rs 1.15 crore and it’s Tuesday collection came up to Rs 1.3 crore on par with its opening day. On Wednesday also the film minted the same with Thursday witnessing a small dip to collect Rs 1.10 crore, thereby taking the week 1 collection to Rs 11.25 crore. The film survived SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’s Baahubali- The Epic which was in its second week at the cinema halls at the same time. With The Girlfriend, Rashmika continues her dream run as an actress with films like Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Thamma, Dhanush led Kuberaa and Vicky Kaushal headlined Chhaava. She would be next seen in Cocktail 2 with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. She also has Rawindra Pulle’s Mysaa in the pipeline and its first look has generated a lot of buzz.
