Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s son Viaan is often spotted performing impressive gymnastics routine. Many wonder if he is showing interest in following in his mother’s footsteps in showbiz. When asked whether the ‘film bug’ has bitten him, Shilpa laughed and said, “The apple does not fall far from the tree. I just realised with him that genes really are a thing! But it is too early to comment (whether he will join the film industry). At present, he should be focusing on school. Only he isn’t doing it.”She added, “This generation is very clever. I don’t know if he is academically inclined, but he has a different skill set. Every soul is different and special. He’s selective about what he chooses to take on.”
Reflecting on how parenting has evolved, she said, “Kids today have clarity, while we did things whether we liked it or not. That’s the difference between this generation and our generation. But you must allow children to have an opinion because that’s how they become their own people.”
