India comedian Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ has been in the news for quite some time now, and not for the right reasons. The show which has earlier also come under the radar for its dark comedy and inappropriate language has again made headlines after popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made vulgar remarks on the show. His comments didn’t go down well with the netizens, following which a legal action was also taken. And now, as per the latest update, reports state that after heavy criticism YouTube has removed the controversial video which featured podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s vulgar remarks.

Yes, it the not just a segment, but the entire video that had Ranveer as the guest panelist on the show has been removed. This action was taken after the Information and Broadcasting Ministry asked YouTube to take down the episode. Priyank Kanoongo, a member of the National Human Rights Commission, had also sought the video’s removal from YouTube.
Complaint filed against Ranveer Allahbadia
Ranveer Allahbaia, who is known for his podcast on various genres, including religion and spirituality, faced heavy backlash from his audience after the ‘India Got Latent’ controversy. His provocative comments about parents and sex led to a complaint filed against him with the Guwahati Police on Monday.
Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija also have their mention in the complaint on the charges of promoting obscenity in a publicly accessible online show. Reportedly, the case is being currently investigated
Meanwhile, Ranveer has issued a public apology on Twitter where he said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry.”
“Obviously this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgement. It wasn’t cool on my part,” he added.
“The podcast is watched by people of all ages, I don’t want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly and family is the last thing I would ever disrespect,” he continued.
However, while some appreciated that he understood his mistakes, several believe it is too little too late.
