Yuvika Chaudhary recalls her experience of working with Farah Khan on 'Om Shanti Om'; says 'Sabko daant padi thi'

Yuvika Chaudhary, who embraced motherhood in October, has been keeping a low profile for a while. Recently, she reminisced about her experience working with director Farah Khan in Om Shanti Om. The romantic drama, headlined by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, featured Yuvika as Dolly Arora. During a chat with Farah, the actress recalled an amusing moment when she stumbled while delivering the iconic dialogue, “Ek chutki sindoor ki keemat…” from the film.
In Om Shanti Om, Yuvika Chaudhary portrayed the character of Dolly Arora, a well-known film star who appeared alongside Deepika Padukone’s Shantipriya. Recently, filmmaker Farah Khan dropped by Yuvika and Prince Narula’s home in Mumbai for a new episode of her food vlog series. During their conversation, Farah, Prince, and Yuvika recalled a particular scene from the film where Yuvika struggled with her lines, leading to some lighthearted moments on set.
Farah Khan playfully asked the audience, “Have you seen Dastaan-E-Om Shanti Om?” Yuvika Chaudhary flashed a smile and added, “Kaun nahi shiver karega? Who wouldn’t get chills on that set?” Jumping into the conversation, Farah recalled, “She had just one dialogue to say—‘Ek chutki sindoor ki keemat, tum kya jaano Ramesh Babu.’ Oh my God!Oh My God! I will have to take out the bloopers!”
Yuvika Chaudhary fondly recalled how Farah Khan had been especially kind to her on set. She shared, ““Sabko daant padi thi. Because I was her choice, mujhe ek baar kuch nahi kaha ma’am ne. Not even once! Itna pyaar se rakha hai mujhe. Maine sabko daant khaate dekha hai.(Everyone got scolded! But since I was her choice for the role, Ma’am never said anything to me—not even once! She treated me with so much warmth. I’ve seen everyone else getting an earful, but I was spared).”
Farah Khan playfully recalled, “I knew she was getting nervous. Vo itni ghabra gayi thi. Ek chutki ka ek chupki, chuski, and whatnot, she said it in every combination I feel. (She was so flustered that instead of ‘Ek chutki,’ she ended up saying ‘Ek chupki, ek chuski,’ and every possible variation!)”
Adding to the fun, Prince Narula joined the conversation, expressing his admiration for Yuvika. He shared, “When I first saw her in the film, I thought she was absolutely stunning. I had no idea back then that she would one day be my wife.”
Yuvika Chaudhary expressed her deep gratitude to Farah Khan for giving her the opportunity in Om Shanti Om. Reflecting on her journey, she admitted that she had always been reserved and never openly discussed her shyness in the industry. “I’ve always been very shy. The only reason I entered Bollywood was because of you. If not for her, I wouldn’t be here— I wouldn’t have an identity in this industry. Thank you so much, I love you from the bottom of my heart,” she shared emotionally.
